Chain Reaction

Chain Reaction is an exhibit at San Francisco’s Exploratorium where participants are invited to unleash their inner inventors by constructing intricate "Rube Goldberg"-inspired machines using modular, interlocking towers. Each of these towers demonstrates a different mechanic by having a cutaway sideview of the internal mechanisms. This empowers participants to develop an intuitive grasp of foundational mechanical principles, including lift, torque, and potential energy, as they witness the mesmerizing interplay of cause and effect in action.

As a volunteer at the Exploratorium, Michael worked on assembling and finishing the towers.
