Cairn River Table

This installation was part of the Exploratorium’s “Art of Tinkering” Exhibit. It consisted of a cork board table inspired by the fluidity and dynamic movement of rivers. This table was then filled with “Toadstool” tables serves as a canvas for the myriad of hand-sanded wooden blocks, each uniquely shaped to resemble river rocks. By stacking these blocks, you are not only rekindling your bond with nature but also rediscovering the simple joy of play.
As part of volunteering at the Exploratorium, Michael helped in the carpentry and assemblage of the installation.
