Rogue Bench Repair

One day while wondering through the San Francisco’s Presidio, I noticed a bench with it’s main sitting board removed. I thought this was a shame in such an idyllic spot to rest. Therefore, I worked with The Exploratorium’s Sam Haynor to fix this bench in a silly way. With a meticulously crafted wooden plaque replacing the missing seat board, inscribed with the cheeky phrase "SIT ON MY FACE," this project invites passersby to pause, engage, and rediscover the simple pleasure of a moment of rest.

The project aims to inspire community engagement and serve as a reminder that laughter and delight can be found in everyday surroundings. By transforming an ordinary space, we hope to encourage appreciation for shared public spaces and the power of humor to bring people together.
